ARE YOU PREPARED
- Health experts around the world are expecting the worst from the H1 N1 virus “the swine flu” that raised its ugly poetential in the the spring of 2009.
- Estimated in Canada run as high as 13 to 15 million cases this will effect half of our population which means we will all be affected in one way or another.
- To prepare for the “flu season” common sense practises are your best defense – wash hands regularly (soap or antibacterial gel), sneeze and cough into your upper arm instead of your hands, stay away from puplic places if you show flu like simptoms, keep well hydrated and eat smart.
- At Southeastern we have installed the antibacterial gel dispensers at entrance doors, created a power point presentation on how to best defend against the flu for our staff, provided each technician with a hygene kit ( mask, gloves and antibacteial gel and wipes).
- The core of our business will rely on our ability to continue providing 24 hour service. Many of Southeastern’s clients systems are equipped with remote access to identify what troubles require a site visit and which ones do not. Additionally client’s have opted to install teleworker extensions which allow individuals to stay home and work like they are in the office. This application tunnels via your network providing desktop capabilities as well as telephone extension capabilities.
- Remember the best defense is offense so look to take the common sense approach to reduce your family’s and business’ risk.
